About Us

Covering the south west corner of our province, the Cypress Hills Destination Area welcomes visitors with truly amazing scenery and a variety of activities that the entire family can enjoy. If you are lucky enough to find yourself in the area, be sure to take your time and take advantage of all the area has to offer.

The Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park is a unique and ruggedly beautiful area, with forests, fields, and streams to enjoy; go camping, hiking, fly fishing – or just relax. The park is also a Dark-Sky Preserve – one of the largest in North America – so there is no better place for watching the night sky and maybe catching a meteor shower. Visit nearby Maple Creek for the wonderful dining experiences at The Star Café,Rockin’ Horse Bar & Grill or Redmond House. Taste wine made from grapes grown right here in Saskatchewan at the Cypress Hills Vineyard and Winery. Play in the trees and go ziplining through the lodge pole pines with Cypress Hills Eco-Adventures. If you are feeling adventurous, head over to Historic Reesor Ranch, a working cattle ranch where you can help with daily chores or take a guided ride through the beautiful valleys. Dig out your inner paleontologist and visit the T.rex Discovery Centre in Eastend where you can now see a full sized cast model of Scotty’s skeleton.
